The main character is noticed by the fox Miles Tails , who liked the coolness of Sonic, and who begins to run after him. He has two tails, and with their help he can fly. By the way, Sonic himself does not get hung up on him much. Probably Sonic Team simply failed to program a good artificial intelligence, this explains Tails' constant problems in the game. Sonic sees potential in small things. Tails also turns out to be a good mechanic. The game looks even better. Sonic is finally really blue here . And also here I began to notice how cool the music is. The melodies of Emerald Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Casino Night Zone during the boss battle are some of the best in the Sonic game series. In the game , the developers have added a spin dash : you hold the button down and hammer on the jump button - this way you can accelerate in place. Thanks to this, the level design has changed. There used to be a lot of space .. well, so that there was where to accelerate. Now everything is capacious and clear. The levels are not so tight in certain places, but every corner is filled with something: objects, badniks, secrets. The game has notable Sky Chase zones, where we fly the Tornado, and the last Death Egg Zone in space. Apparently hedgehogs can breathe in space :). Here you will not have rings and there are two whole bosses: Silver Sonic and Death Egg Robot. Silver can still be defeated, but on the second I merge. You can play as Tails . It is not very different from the hedgehog, but if you connect a second gamepad, you can play together. And this is cool, because Tails has an infinite supply of lives and can be used as cannon fodder. There is also a competition mode , but the picture is not divided in the best way. The levels of the Special Stage are quite different from the first part. We are still collecting rings, but you need to jump over the checkpoint. The levels themselves are different - with a rear view. Here we collect rings and dodge obstacles. You need to collect a certain amount to get an emerald, but the draw distance is bad. It is not clear what is ahead, and the scrolling is strange. Having collected everything, we get Super Sonic . Super Sonic is yellow in color and is even faster as well as invulnerable. In general, the developers took everything that worked in the first part and made it even better. The graphics are pleasing to the eye, and looping has become even more fun. It's obvious that they tried.
